The deep bowl with flared rim raised on a tall, flared pedestal foot and incised under the glaze on the interior with a central shou character surrounded by two dragons confronted amidst clouds below four further shou medallions flanked by dragons emerging from clouds in the well, the exterior gilded
6 in. (15.3 cm.) diam.

Two other gilt-decorated stem bowls of similar dimensions include one illustrated by J.
