20TH CENTURY
Representing the Ifugao and Bontoc tribes, knights as bulls with rearing heads, rooks as huts, pawns as tribesmen
The king -- 4in. (10cm.) high; the pawn -- 2½in. (6.2cm.) high
Together with a Balinese carved stained wood chess set and board, late 20th century (2)
