A large Meissen thirty-six-light chandelier

The bulbous central stem issuing two tiers of flower-encrusted scrolling branches with perched birds, the top tier with four branches each terminating in foliate drip-pans and three candle-holders, further branches with hanging foliate groups, the lower-tier with eight similar branches and candle-holders, each with under-hanging flower groups, the pierced body finely painted with sprays of Deutsche Blumen, with flowering bouquet lower-terminal

Provenance
Probably bought by Wentworth Blackett Beaumont MP, 1st Baron Allendale (1829-1907) for Bretton Park, Yorkshire, and by descent in the Beaumont family.
