A BLUE AND WHITE 'TRIPLE-ARCH' OVAL CHESTNUT BASKET AND STAND, the sides and stand rim pierced with basket weave lattice and decorated with appliqué florettes, the rim with two delicate stem-form handles with vine-relief terminals, the interior and centre of the dish painted with a lakescape depicting a pavilion on a promontory beside a willow tree above a lateen-rigged junk and a triple-arched bridge leading to an island with twinned conifer and deciduous trees, the background with smaller islands and dwellings, circa 1816
