Meiji period (late 19th century), gilt seal Yabu Meizan
Decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt over a clear, crackled glaze with beauties engaged in painting, music, flower arranging and a tea gathering, the shoulder and cover painted with chrysanthemums and the tripod feet moulded as chrysanthemum leaves, the underside decoratated with a large chrysanthemum blossom, the details in low relief and the signature cartouche in the center of the flower head, cover surmounted by four-strand "wisteria" finial
