The screen comprising two hinged panels each divided into two sections framed in ivory, the top sections of each panel decorated in gold hiramaki-e and hirame on a kinji ground and inlaid mother-of-pearl, horn and coral with birds above and swimming in a stream and a blossoming plum tree, water plants and flowers, the lower sections of gyobu-nashiji bordering a silver-framed reserve with shells among seaweed designed in similar technique, the reverse of the screen decorated on all four sections in iroe togidashi with herons and flowering plants by a stream, signed Yoshimitsu and with kao
