A large Chinese wood figure of Guanyin, probably late Ming dynasty
carved seated in rajalilisana with one leg pendent and one knee raised supporting the right arm, the face with a serene expression below a top knot framed by a scrolling tiara with Buddha Amitabha, wearing loose robes revealing a necklace, traces of red pigment -- 43½in. (110.5cm.) high.
