AN UNMARKED 19TH CENTURY TWO-HANDLED SILVER-GILT VASE & COVER,
ENGLISH, CIRCA 1835/45,
Now dis-assembled into ten pieces, the ovoid body engraved with profuse scrolling foliage & set with agate bosses in different sizes, scroll handles, quatrefoil foot embossed with scrolls, the cover with green hardstone spherical finial & set with bosses & intaglios in carnelian, lapis-lazuli, sardonyx, labradorite, jade, turquoise & enamel.
