Painted in the Hoppesteijn-style with two serrated cartouches with scenes inspired by Chinese Transitional examples, one depicting a monkey on horseback with an Oriental attendant, the other with a servant and lady in a landscape, against a crackled-ice background with reserved lotus scrolls (shallow chip to upper rim)
