Three prop control panels, made of machined aluminum with round openings, heavy control handles and slots for isolinear control card props, two with backlit inserts with control panel graphics, one with an opening for insertion of a functional LCD video display [not included] and a control handle that can be pulled out and rotated -- 20x13in. -- featured in the spacewalk fight scene at the end of Star Trek: First Contact, Picard used these panels to release the ship's main deflector dish, sending the Borg drones into space, and saving his ship (3)

Lot Essay

For Star Trek: First Contact's climactic battle on the ship's hull, director Jonathan Frakes wanted Picard to use a heavy, mechanical control device to release the deflector dish. Three control panels were built into the hull set, but only one was rigged with an actual rotating handle.
