Sarek's first wife, Amanda, was the human woman who was Spock's mother. Later in his life, Sarek married another human woman, Perrin, played by Joanna Miles. Sarek was fortunate to have her strength and dedication in his declining years, culminating in his death in "Unification, Part I" in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
