The rectangular top with three-quarter pierced gallery inset with a panel of cube parquetry centered by quatrefoil flowerheads and within a surround of quatrefoil flowerhead-filled trellis parquetry, over a drawer mounted frieze with foliate entrelac enclosing a leather-lined hinged writing surface enclosing a compartment, with fitments for writing implements, the case decorated with further cube parquetry, on triglyph-headed tapering legs ending in sabots, restorations to veneers, stamped to the left underside
