Lot Essay

Accompanied by an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirming the date of manuafcture as 1947 and its subsequent sale on October 1st of the same year.

Patek Philippe commenced production of the reference 565 in 1938, available both with subsidiary seconds, the caliber 12-120, and later with sweep center seconds from 1942, the caliber 12 SC. According to our research, this wristwatch represents one of only approximately 20 examples of the reference 565 to have appeared at auction in pink gold.
