A LARGE SILVER TROPHY CUP IN THE GEORGE II STYLE,
MARK OF JAMES DIXON & SONS, SHEFFIELD, 1925,
With leaf-capped scroll handles, chased acanthus leaf straps to sides & similarly decorated to domed cover, the latter capped by an acanthus knop finial, inscribed "Chester Vase, 1928" above the names of 3 owners & their horses, gilt interior, 17½ in. high (44.5 cm.), 111.5 oz.
