Accompanied by IWC blank International Guarantees, booklet, original fitted wooden presentation box with silvered and pink gilt plaques inscribed IWC International Watch Co. Ltd., Schaffhausen, Switzerland, Portugieser Automatic 2000 and relevant case numbers and outer packaging.
The "Portugieser Automatic 2000", reference 5000, was introduced into the market in 2000 to celebrate the millennium and is a classic amongst collectors. The model was made in a limited edition of 1000 examples in stainless steel, 750 in pink gold and 250 in platinum. The first 100 watches of each case material were offered as complete sets, all bearing the same limited edition number, the present lot being number 29 of this series.
Complete sets of this model are exceedingly rare, especially also if in unused condition and still maintaining the original bracelets, certificates and box.
