Cal. 13''' nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, the black matte dial with luminous dot and baton numerals, luminous hands, outer white chapter ring calibrated for 60 minutes, circular aperture for the "chronograph run/stop/reset" indication, revolving black bezel calibrated for 60 units to be used for measuring the elapsed time, in large water-resistant-type case with downturned lugs, screw back, two round chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Breitling SuperOcean instruction manual and contemporary presentation pouch. Furthermore delivered with copy of Breitling invoice for overhaul of the watch in 2003, original bezel and 60 minutes ring as well as various movement parts, exchanged during this servicing.

The "SuperOcean" model, launched in 1957, will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2007. A similar watch is illustrated in Breitling by Benno Richter, p. 41.
