Cal. 13''' nickel-finished lever movement stamped twice with the Geneva seal, 23 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, the silvered matte dial with applied gold baton and Arabic numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions and tachymetre scale, two subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds and 30 minutes register, in circular case with downturned lugs, two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, 18K gold Patek Philippe buckle, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial, applied gold hour markers and tachymetre scale in 1940 and its subsequent sale on 14 February 1941.

Reference 533 was introduced into the market in 1937 and is distinguished by the elegant look of its Calatrava case with the typical flat bezel. This model was in production until 1956.
