TWO FINELY PAINTED SINO-TIBETAN THANGKA
JIAQING/DAOGUANG
The first a painting of a Mahasiddha, seated above Vajradhara on the top right and a four-armed Mahakala on the bottom right, the reverse inscription may be translated as 'third from (or on) right', the second possibly a painting of Ghantapada with his consort flying away into the sky above a pair of Citipati (a pair of skeletons dancing in naked unity and joyous freedom), the top left with Samvara and the top right with Mahasiddha. the reverse inscription may be translated as 'second from (or on) the left'
