Mid 17th Century, the plates Wanli
The pear-shaped ewer on a high foot, decorated with pavilions in a moonlit river landscape below stylised tulip stems, S-shaped handle, 19.5 cm. high; the condiment jar painted with scattered sprays of berries, iris and lotus, applied with handle, associated cover, 14 cm. high, chips; the plates painted with a star-shaped panel enclosing a bird among foliage, reserved on a multi-geometric ground, the well and rim with alternate panels of peach and symbols, 20-20.5 cm., minor rim frittings (5)
