MARK OF GABRIEL SLEATH, LONDON, 1743, AND WITH PORTUGUESE STANDARD AND RETAILER'S MARK, LISBON, CIRCA 1750
Apple form, on a stepped circular base, the body chased and repoussé with scrolling flowers, and an asymmetrical cartouche, with a wood scroll handle, and leaf-capped spout, the flat cover chased with conforming decoration and a basket and foliate finial, marked under base and cover, the base also marked with Lisbon standard mark and retailer's mark (Marcas de Pratas Portuguesas e Brasileiras, L-55 and L-451)
8 in. (20.3 cm.) long over handle; 14 oz. 10 dwt. (458 gr.) gross weight
