WITH AN AUTOGRAPH POEM ON FRONT FREE ENDPAPER, SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR AND DATED 'JUNE 13 1926'. De la Mare's 16-line lyric 'What if to edge of dream' is one of four poems he wrote at different times entitled 'The Owl'. It had been published five years earlier, in The Veil and Other Poems.
