modelled by Jean Audusseau, Toulon, with carved hull finished in maroon, red, white and black, deck fittings and superstructure as appropriate, mounted on two turned wooden columns, base with legend and glazed case -- 20½ x 66in. (52 x 168cm.)

Lot Essay

British-owned by the Flower Line (Buries Markes Ltd., Managers), La Primavera was built at La Seyne by Societi de Forgers et Chantiers de la Mediterranie in 1960. Registered in London at 9,486 tons gross (5,957 net and 13,700 deadweight), she measured 463 feet in length with a 61 foot beam and was powered by her builder's own single-acting 7-cylinder engine manufactured at their Havre works.
