Lot Essay

This type of folding table was illustrated in J.C Loudon's Encyclopaedia of Cottage, Farmhouse and Villa Architecture and Furniture, 1833, nos. 596 and 597. A design for an almost identical table was published in W.Smee's Designs for Furniture, 1850-55.
