Lot Essay

Having smashed through Bucentaure's stern gallery with her first broadside, H.M.S. Victory is seen engaging the Rédoutable at close quarters. Temeraire can be seen to the stern of Bucentaure with the British weather column following Victory through the Spanish and French line.
