GOETHE, Johann Wolfgang von (1749-1832). Letter signed ('J.W. v. Goethe') to the banking house Frege & Co. of Leipzig, Weimar, 7 April 1830, informing them that he has dispatched a pay order to the sum of 7,500 thalers in favour of the banker Julius Elkan on the account of the book dealers J.G. Cotta, one page, 4to, integral address leaf (some yellowing, short tears to folds at lower margin, seal tear on address leaf).
