A Cloisonne square sectioned Hu vase, Late Ming Dynasty
with twin loose-ring taotie head hands, decorated in coloured enamels with panels of birds perched upon rockwork surrounded by flowering branches, alternating with cranes within a river landscape surrounded by flowering lotus, above a flared footrim of flying horses amongst scrolling cloud, and below bands of scrolling lotus and lappets, all on a green ground, the applied gilt-copper rim with foliate centre - 12¼in. (31cm) high.
