with rounded sides, supported on a slightly tapering foot, enamelled on the exterior with petal-shaped lappets enclosing archaistic vessels and precious objects alternating with overlapping puce petal lappets, the interior with a vase of peony by finger citron, below cartouches enclosing floral sprigs reserved on a black foliated floral ground border below the rim -- 15 3/8in. (39cm.) diam.
