A hanging scroll, 19th Century
in ink and slight colour on paper, painted with two figures at the edge of a forest, a river to the foreground, a pathway winding through the mountains beyond - 25¼in x 8in. (64.1cm. x 20.4cm.), with signature Wen Boren (1502-1575) son of Wen Zhengming (1470-1559), three saels.
Provenance
From the collection of Lady Ottoline and Philip Morrell, Garsington Manor, Oxord, by descent to the Vendor.
