A Blue and white vase, Hu, 19th century
of oviform shape, with a waisted neck and everted rim, supported on a splayed foot, set with a pair of stylised lion-mask handles, painted around the body with three registers divided by double raised rings, two including foliated lotus, peony and chrysanthemum scrolls, above a third of crested waves, all between a band of upright lappets around the neck and waves around the rim and petal panels around the foot, underglaze blue Qianlong seal mark -- 10 11/16in. (27.2cm.) high.
