A painted Pottery figure of a standing official, Tang Dynasty
the dignified gentleman with moulded moustache and bushy eye brows wearing a long-sleeved robe with a breast and back plate attached by twin buckles over the fabric, cloud-toed shoes peep out from under the long garment and his head covered with a peaked headdress decorated with a stylised flying bird motif - 32in. (81.3cm.) high.
