seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus throne, her right hand lowered in varada mudra and the left in a gesture of teaching, wearing a dhoti and sash with beaded hems, necklaces and earrings, the face with a benign expression surmounted by a tiara, the base sealed with a red-lacquered bronze plate, traces of pigment -- 4 5/16in. (10.9cm.) high.
