A Celadon and russet carving of a boy in a boat, 19th Century
the figure carved standing in the smooth curved vessel, holding a lotus pod spray over his left shoulder, the child of an even green tone whilst the underside of the boat is enhanced by russet inclusions to the stone - 3 1/8in. (8cm) wide, wood stand carved with lotus flowers rising from swirling water.
Provenance
From the Collection of John Russell Reeves (1804-1877), by descent to the Vendor.
