The sleeve carved with scenes of Roman and Persian soldiers battling lions; the silver mounts decorated with floral motifs, the repoussé silver lid surmounted by a Roman soldier, the foot with pseudo-stamps to the underside; shrinkage cracks to the ivory sleeve, minor repairs
