Germania totius Europae Regnum. Cologne: 1598. Engraved map of Germany, 370 x 490mm. On thin paper, title set in a baroque cartouche at lower left, portrait of Emperor Augustus at upper left corner, allegorical scene of Germania at lower right, the map set in a "frame" border. (Creases along several folds, a few small tears, three small holes at fold joins).

AN IMPORTANT AND RARE MAP OF GERMANY, listed by Tony Campbell in Imago Mundi vol 42 pp 120-132, as very rare; together with 9 uncoloured maps of Germany by Blaeu and Jansson including Jansson, Tractuum Borussiae; Principatus Anhaldinus et Magdeburgensis; Bohemia; Marchionatus Moraviae; and Blaeu, Ducatus Lunebrugensis; Inferioris Saxoniae circulus; Madgeburgensis Archipiscopatus; Nova totius Gemaniae Descriptio; Mecklenburg ducatus, all with full margins, deckle edges, and versos blank without text.
