Very Good appearance in all lots. Lot 393: Offered in carton. Level into neck. Lot 394; Three corroded capsules. Levels: Nine base of neck or better and Three top-shoulder. Lot 395; One slightly damaged label. Levels Top-shoulder
Tasting Note: Fine and rich making a glorious mouthful. Quite quick to develop, soft and nicely balanced in 1976, then, in the early 1980's, an astonishing flavour of ripe mulberries, pretty high alcohol, impressive, lovely. More than just fleshy, yet not fat. However a rather cool note in a Petrus 'flight' in 1990: very sweet yet restrained and I thought, lacking fruit. Only three notes in the 1990's. Most recently a double magnum, fairly full. *** M.B.
