A GREEK BRONZE MAIDEN
CLASSICAL PERIOD, CIRCA 470-450 B.C.
Standing with her right leg advanced, wearing a peplos pinned at the shoulders and draped into a V at her neck, with a long overfold pleated below, her toes emerging from the hem, her arms both bent at the elbow and held out, perhaps once holding attributes, her head angled slightly downward and to her right, her hair rolled back from her forehead, a tenon below the right foot and at the hem of her garment at the heel of the left foot
