The solid plain hoop flat on the interior, rounded on the exterior, expanding to the wide shoulders, the plain bezel set with a bevelled oval stone engraved with Theseus, depicted nude, standing with one leg bent, holding the sword of his father Aegeus in front of him, a branch below, an inscription in Greek in the field behind
