AN ARTIST'S FADING VISION. A poignant letter in which the aging impressionist laments his increasing loss of what he terms his "painter's sight." "Thank you for sending the two volumes as I can now read, so it will make me twice as happy. As you can see it is a little better. Unfortunately I still haven't gotten back my painter's sight. At present I fear not getting it back ever." A mutual friend "gave me some news about you, but it would be pleasant when I am able to see you. Forgive this bad writing and greetings."
