The first, designed as a reeded 18k gold rectangular-shaped case with blue enamel and rose-cut diamond stripes and buffed-top sapphire push-piece, opening to reveal a fitted mirror, covered compartment and lipstick holder, 2½ x 1¾ x 3/8 ins., with French assay marks, English hallmarks and maker's mark; the second, designed as a black and red enamelled 18k gold rectangular-shaped case with a long hexagon-cut diamond push-piece, opening to reveal a fitted mirror and lipstick holder, 4 x 1¾ x 7/8 ins., with French assay marks, in a brown suede case, both circa 1925
