A PAIR OF ART DECO COLOURED DIAMOND AND DIAMOND EAR PENDANTS
Each designed as a central fancy intense yellowish-green diamond weighing 0.74 carat within the circular-cut diamond geometric surround to the graduated diamond line surmount
Accompanied by report No. 14170823 dated 14 October 2005 and report No. 14170820 dated 26 August 2005, from the Gemological Institute of America, both stating that the diamonds weighing 0.74 carat are fancy intense yellowish-green in colour, VS2 clarity (2)

Lot Essay

Not only are green diamonds extremely rare, with only red diamonds being rarer, it is quite remarkable to find a pair matching in clarity, colour and carat weight, such as these fancy intense yellowish-green diamonds now being offered for sale. This particular colour is produced by exposure to natural radiation deep inside the earth's crust, where they have formed over hundreds of millions of years.
