NOTE:
Wang Jiyuan was born in Jiangsu Province, but his lineage was from Anhui Province. In the 1920's, he was a professor at the Shanghai Art School (Shanghai Meishu Zhuanke Xuexiao), and he travelled to Japan and France to study Wester Art. He travelled to the U.S. in 1941, and established the "Huamei Hua Xueyuan" art school.
