Lot Essay

This weapon is instrumental in Bond's escape towards the end of the film in the speedboat chase sequence; Bond and Tatiana Romanova [Daniela Bianchi] are being pursued by agents of SPECTRE who want the Lektor decoding machine which Bond has in his possession. Bond uses the Webley flare pistol to ignite the fuel drums he has released, which explode, destroying the pursuing boats.
