The case cast with foliate designs and with medallions depicting romantic encounters, with fleur-de-lys finial, solid rear door, with painted ivorine side panels under bevelled glasses, each with semi-erotic scenes depicting 'a gentleman denied his pleasures', the dial with foliate engraved gilt mask and two-tone painted Arabic chapters, blued steel hands, the eight day spring barrels movement with bimetallic lever escapement and strike on gong, back plate stamped 594
