AN INDIAN SILVER CIGARETTE CASE,
MARK OF OOMERSI MHAWJI, BHUJ (CUTCH), CIRCA 1900,
Finely chased in relief with hounds savaging antelope & boar to one side, the other side depicting a lion savaging an antelope & an elephant fighting off a lion, all within scrolling foliage & flowers, one side centred by a roundel inscribed "R.W from C.D", the case edged with a ropework border, gilt interior stamped "O.M", 4 in. long (10 cm.), 4 oz.
