A GEORGE II/III IRISH SILVER COFFEE POT,
MARK OF WILLIAM TOWNSEND, DUBLIN, CIRCA 1759/60,
Baluster body with leaf-capped, scalloped spout, artichoke finial, sides chased with chinoiserie scenes including a lute player, architecture, plants & people taking coffee around a table in a garden setting, a small rococo cartouche engraved with crest, base inscribed with initials, "F" over "PA", cover chased with flowers & diaperwork, maker's mark, crowned harp & Hibernia to side , the latter two marks repeated on the cover, 11 in. high (28 cm.), 35 oz.
