French guarantee mark (Minerva), also Russian mark only to lid
The rounded rectangular form engraved with strapwork and floral sprays, the lid partly enamelled in royal blue, turquoise and green, gilded interior -- 3 7/8in. (10cm.) long; an engine-turned Victorian card case Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham, 1846; two engine-turned cigarette cases, and a powder compact applied with a commemorative crowned Maltese cross insignia, with wording 'South Africa, 1900, Queen Victoria' (5)
