Two famille rose bowls, Daoguang seal marks and of the period
the first applied with two moulded mask handles, the exterior enamelled with a procession of European figures, mythical beasts, a horse and an elephant, carrying precious objects and flaming pearls amidst a pine-strewn rocky landscape -- 7in. (17.7cm.) wide; the second of cinq-lobed shape, decorated with foliate lotus alternating with Shou characters, between a ruyi-head and lotus petal panel border, both vessels with turquoise interiors and iron-red six-character Daoguang seal marks.
