with black and white mohair, orange and black glass eyes, pronounced muzzle, black stitched nose and mouth, swivel head, jointed arms, hinged legs, felt pads, yellow Merrythought label and white regd. design label on right foot --17in. (43.5cm.) high

Lot Essay

According to Merrythought's records Tummykins was designed on 21/11/1946 by Florence Atwood. Kapok Stuffed except for body which was wood wool and included a squeaker. Available initially in 4 sizes but 1951 catalogue only shows 3,the 1951 catalogue was the first after WWII.
