The white enamel Roman dial with central aperture showing phase and age of moon, the eight day twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell and gearing to revolving globe with paper gores above, the equatorial band with twice XII enamel chapters, red for day and black for night, the XIIs and VIs inscribed Minuit/Midi and Est/Ouest respectively, the pointer indicating the Paris meridian -- 20¾ in.
