Three American shelf clocks, second half 19th Century
A twin-candle Gothic steeple striking clock, the door with lower replacement glass decorated with gilt foliage, strike on gong, with trade label to inside of backboard for the WATERBURY CLOCK COMPANY -- 15in. (38. cm.) high; AN OGEE CASE the door panel decorated with a church, thirty hour movement with double wood fusees and springs, strike on turned wire gong -- 18¾ in. (48 cm.) high, pendulum; and A TRIPLE-DECKER CASE, the lower door painted with a pink rose the upper door flanked by two half columns, typical lyre-shaped movement with strike on gong, the inside of the backboard pasted with trade label for SETH THOMAS EIGHT-DAY WEIGHT CLOCKS with set-up instructions -- 32½ in. (82 cm.) high (3)
